We are always seeking interns to join our Good Grit team! We have a number of internships available in our Art, Editorial, and Digital Departments. Your internship will give you real-world experience and provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to further your career goals. Photography

As a photography intern you will have the opportunity to work on photoshoot scouting and coordination. You will work alongside the senior art director to assign photographers and place photos, take photos for publication and maintain online photography. You will be successful in this role if you have a broad understanding of photography, have a keen eye for composition and have prior photography experience. We look for someone who is creative, hard working, organized and timely.

Art + Design

As an art intern you will have the opportunity to design graphics for social media promotion, create in-house promotional material, sketch design concepts and contribute artistic thought to the team’s effort. You will be successful in this role if you have a keen eye, understand the Adobe Creative Cloud, and know basic design elements. We look for someone who is independent, driven and creative to fill this role.

Advertising

As an advertising intern you will have the opportunity to design ads for social media promotion and web display, as well as print advertisment. You will also coordinate with our advertising partners and ensure that they are being served in the best way possible. You will be successful in this role if you have an understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud and are familiar with print advertising. We look for someone who is a self-starter, driven, personable and creative to fill this role.

Videography/ Photography

As a videography intern under Good Grit's digital department, you will have the opportunity to create videos for our social media platforms. You will work closely with other digital team members as well as our art department to create videos that portray the Character of the South. We are seeking an intern with strong video film and editing skills. Please include a portfolio in your application.

Social Media

As a social media intern, you have the opportunity to curate and post content on Good Grit's social media platforms. You will work closely with the art and editorial departments to build creative and brand appropriate content. We're seeking an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of digital and social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter.

Editorial Internship

As an editorial intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute articles to the web and in print. You will help edit copy and brainstorm ideas for content as needed. You will work closely with the Digital Editor and the Managing Editor to ensure that our content is timely, creative, and relevant to our audience. We are looking for someone with strong writing skills who is a self-starter, creative, innovative, and eager to learn.
