Endless Adventure
The Village of Baytowne Wharf is a must-visit vacation destination
A picture perfect view of the water, rows of colorful shops and restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife—it’s hard to find a more fun-filled community. Located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay in Northwest Florida, The Village of Baytowne Wharf is an eclectic destination for dining, shopping, nightlife, and more.
Nestled within Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, Baytowne Wharf is full of warmth and charm. The Village is lined with sidewalks, making it safe and easy to explore the area. The mornings offer the most pleasant weather for exploring by foot. It’s the perfect time to grab a cup of coffee to-go from Caffe Siena, then take a morning stroll to watch the sunrise as the coastal breeze carries the scent of saltwater throughout the neighborhood.
In The Village, the world slows down, and stress melts away. The hardest decision visitors are faced with is choosing what to eat—and the competition is fierce. Baytowne Provisions and Another Broken Egg offer fantastic classic breakfasts. For lunch, Poppy’s Crazy Lobster satisfies a fresh seafood craving, while Lazy Gecko Deck Bar brings Mexican, Caribbean, and South American Flavors to the table. Roberto’s Pizzeria is a casual dinner spot with incredible pizza, and Marlin Grill serves up decadent multi-course meals. Plus, delicious mid-day treats such as Florida Orange Sunshine Cake from Seaside Sweeteries or soft serve ice cream from Moo La-La Ice Cream and Desserts. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
There are activities for people of all ages as well. Families love catch-and-release fishing at Baytowne Lagoon. The Baytowne Adventure Zone offers a view of the lagoon from above via the Baytowne Zipline. From mini-golf to laser tag, there’s a whole week’s worth of play to be had! When the sun begins to set, it’s time to hit the bars. Depending on the night, there may be a fireworks display, a magic show, or live music—Rum Runners has dueling pianos, and John Wehner’s Village Door Nightclub plays everything from Disco to Rock to R&B. The best part? It’s all able to be enjoyed with a cocktail in hand.
The shopping is just as fun. Shoppers can find date night dresses and bags at fashionable boutiques, then get ready for an active day on the water at Aloha Surf Company. Scattered throughout the neighborhood, there’s home decor, art galleries, specialty food, self-care and wellness goodies, and so much more—not to mention the children’s stores. Dolls & Friends has coveted American Girl dolls, and Coconut Kidz has Disney costumes and other fun toys. There’s so much to discover, whether shopping for yourself or to check items off your holiday list.
No matter the season, there’s always something happening at The Village. Christmas tree lighting, New Year’s Eve festivities, the Sandestin Wine Festival, the Baytowne Beer Festival and the Sandestin Gumbo Festival are just a few of the exciting events on the calendar. The good times never stop!
The Village of Baytowne Wharf has a small town feel with big time fun. With everything you need to eat, drink, and enjoy in one place, you’ll never want to leave!
