This little lunch snack is one of my favorite flavor combos. The smoked turkey pairs with the subtle, pungent flavor of the brie, which then gets brightened up by the apple—and the spicy sweet raspberry mustard pulls it all together into one cohesive bite of deliciousness.
Ingredients for 1 serving
• Sliced bread (can be sourdough, a baguette, an Italian loaf)
• Sliced smoked turkey
• 1 Tablespoon of raspberry jam
• 3/4 Tablespoon of dijon mustard
• Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
Toast your bread. I like mine fried in a cast iron skillet in a shallow layer of olive oil. Add the brie, and toast a bit longer. In the meantime, mix the jam and mustard. Plate the toast, then add the raspberry mustard, turkey, and granny smith apple. If there is leftover raspberry mustard, serve it on the side in case you want to dip!
