Boutique hotels keep popping up all over the country, but Drew and Kathryn Hoffpauir decided to do something different in Lake Charles, Louisiana. When their 
neighbors put their Della Belle home up for sale, the Hoffpauirs knew it was important to preserve the historic home. They purchased Della Belle, then set to work preserving not only the home, but the legacy of southern hospitality it had carried from its construction in 1925.
Drew took his passion for restoring old homes and combined it with Kathryn’s gift for entertaining family and friends. The result? Della Belle opened its doors as a luxury Bed and Breakfast, honoring the spirit of Southwest Louisiana.
The Della Belle is a family affair, with the Hoffpauir’s three children contributing to its success. Their son, Drew Jr., helped furnish and decorate each room, their 
youngest son, Hayden, helps manage day-to-day operations of Hoffpauir Properties, and their daughter, Rebecca, makes breakfast for all the guests. The result is an experience like no other—a sophisticated affair that leaves you well taken care of.
Kathryn makes certain that every guest has a pleasant stay by making herself available throughout your stay. At the beginning of your visit, she will help you design a unique schedule for a trip that’s truly tailored to you. That means you can have breakfast whenever you want it, whether that’s 6 A.M. or 10 A.M. She is also happy to set up a picnic lunch or champagne on the lawn. “We are available as 
much or as little as a guest would like. We want this to feel like home, and we want every visitor's experience to be perfect.” she said.
