Downtown Tupelo kicks off the fall festival season with Fall Into Tupelo Fest, October 6-7. Held in Fairpark, the event includes Chili Fest with live music by Southerland Friday night. Saturday features Family Fun Day and music by Happy Landing during the free Down on Main concert that night.
If you’re looking for something a little on the spooky side, Tupelo has you covered. Tupelo Community Theatre’s Haunted Theatre brings the fright throughout the month of October. Held October 19-21, 26-28, and 31, the historic theatre on Tupelo’s courthouse square is filled with all things scary. The Oren Dunn City Museum invites all of the little spooks to visit Ballard Park for Spooktacular Fest October 28. The event includes a Halloween egg hunt, dance party, costume parade, and outdoor movie.
The annual celebration of the legacy and music of Elvis Presley, Dancing with the King returns October 27-29 at the Tupelo Furniture Market, Building V. With a sock hop, show dance spectacular, and traditional ballroom dancing competition, this event is tons of fun and helps raise fund for dance education.
Downtown Tupelo will host the Tupelo Ale Trail October 27. This progressive craft beer tasting takes patrons to a host of Downtown retailers to sample various craft beers and light bites. Enjoy specials and discounts in certain retail locations and participate in the after party featuring live music, cold beverages, and great food.
Tupelo’s newest fall event, the Shake, Rattle, & Roll Steak Cook-Off is scheduled for November 3-4 at the Cadence Bank Arena. Teams will vie for the best steak, burger, and peanut butter & banana sandwich, with prizes awarded in each category. The event is free to the public.
Tupelo is ready to usher in the holiday season with two big fall events. Celebration Village, the city’s annual holiday marketplace, is held at the Tupelo Furniture Market October 18-21, and offers a plethora of vendors to help you find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list. With special events like the Preview Party October 18 and Mingling with Mimosas October 19 and 21, get your tickets now to be part of the festivities. Downtown Tupelo holds its annual Holiday Open House November 5. Retailers throughout the Downtown District offer décor and gifts to usher in the season of giving.
