ugusta Training Shop, located in the bustling city of Augusta, employees artistically inclined and creative individuals with disabilities to turn something as simple as wood into utter magic – handmade snowflakes.
These snowflakes and the beautiful people behind them have made such an impact that the Walt Disney World Resort® has purchased the ornaments for display at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge®.
Now, the snowflakes are available for purchase online just in time for the holiday season! These handcrafted snowflakes come in all shapes and sizes, reminding us that different is beautiful.
As you look for that thoughtful holiday gift, consider wrapping up your shopping in one quick swoop with Augusta’s “Southern Made” artisanal goods. A mecca of artists, crafters and culinary enthusiasts, shoppers will find the perfect present for everyone on their list this year.
The Augusta Training Shop employs workers with disabilities ranging from Autism, cerebral palsy, MR, deafness and blindness, to focus on their abilities and to provide these workers an income. For each snowflake sold, three workers are employed.
These artisanal snowflakes come in over 35 styles and in six distinct collections. No snowflake is the exact same, spanning from intricate to simple, modern designs, with prices ranging from $25 to $125 and varying sizes.
