Guests and visitors to the hotel can begin their magical holiday season on Thanksgiving Day with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The hotel’s culinary team has created a prix-fixed four-course menu for this feast. The centerpiece of the New Orleans holiday season, Holiday Tea in Le Salon is a community tradition serving as many as 400 guests a day over three seatings. Beginning November 29, enjoy a properly brewed pot of tea; a glass of sherry, sparkling wine, or specialty cocktail; English tea sandwiches; seasonal scones with clotted cream; and a final course of gourmet desserts.
Reveillon, which means “awakening,” comes from the French and Creole tradition of having a large family dinner following Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Windsor Court serves their four-course Reveillon Dinner throughout December.
Performances from local school choirs will complement the holiday happenings in December, and for guests wishing to take home a bit of the seasonal splendor, a keepsake ornament of the lobby’s signature roses, crafted by the famed New Orleans jeweler Adler’s will also be available for purchase. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, guests can enjoy a special four-course meal for lunch or dinner, and ring in the New Year with a four-course dinner followed by live jazz and celebratory champagne at the Polo Lounge Club.
