You know that scene from the popular Netflix show “Emily in Paris?” No, not THAT one… the one where Emily, Gabriel, and Camille visit the Van Gogh Alive immersive art experience!? If you know, you know. Well, now you have the chance to live just like Emily did in Paris and see the exhibit for yourself in St. Pete, Florida. Hopefully without the awkward love triangle.

About the Exhibit

Starting November 21, 2020 through April 11, 2021, The Dalí Museum will offer Van Gogh Alive, a brand new kind of immersive art experience by one of the greatest and well-known artists in history. For the first time, guests will feel the sensation of walking right into one of Van Gogh’s paintings via cutting edge technology that enables a multi-sensory experience.

As the first North American venue to host Van Gogh Alive, visitors will engage with more than 3,000 Van Gogh images at an enormous scale, viewed through high-definition projectors and synchronized to music. Cinema-quality surround sound amplifies the emotion generated by the works themselves. In addition to the iconic works featured, visitors can examine Van Gogh’s inspiration via photographs and video displayed alongside them. The installation is powered by SENSORY4™, a unique system developed by Grande Experiences of Melbourne, Australia.

Safety Measures

The Dalí Museum continues to implement procedures to help protect the health and safety of visitors, volunteers, members and staff. The Museum is operating at reduced capacity via timed ticketing and has reinforced physical distancing reminders throughout the Museum. All staff and visitors are required to wear masks and have a thermal temperature check upon entering the building. Plexi screens and hand-sanitizer stations are placed in key locations. More information about The Dalí’s safety precautions can be found at TheDali.org/safety.
