Jackson, Mississippi, is a city known for its rich history and vibrant culture. The city is also rooted deeply within the state’s culinary scene, and this year its skills will be on full display at the inaugural Jackson Food and Wine Festival.

The Jackson Food and Wine Festival is a culinary extravaganza showcasing diverse flavors and culinary talents from across the region. From savory southern classics to innovative dishes that push the boundaries of traditional cuisine, attendees are treated to a delicious array of culinary delights.

Local and regional chefs, renowned for their expertise in southern cooking, will be coming together at the Jackson Food and Wine Festival to craft dishes that pay homage to Mississippi’s rich culinary heritage, while also incorporating modern twists and flavors into each bite. Mississippi native Nick Wallace will be headlining the festival, which is scheduled for March 2 at the Mississippi Museum of Art Garden.

The fusion of flavors continues, however, with a variety of top chefs from across the country. Also on the menu are cooking sensations Cat Cora (Cat Cora’s Kitchen in Los Angeles, California), Buddha Lo (Marky’s Caviar and Huso in New York City), Damarr Brown (Virtue Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois), and Ashleigh Shanti (Good Hot Fish in Asheville, North Carolina), along with a host of others that will be cooking up a lively atmosphere and enticing aromas featuring everything from classic barbecue and freshly baked biscuits to decadent desserts.

The Jackson Food and Wine Festival isn’t complete without the perfect wine pairings, and the event delivers on that front as well. Wine enthusiasts can indulge in tastings of premium vintages from renowned vineyards, both local and international. From robust reds to crisp whites, there will be a wine to complement every dish and tantalize the taste buds.

Beyond its culinary offerings, the Jackson Food and Wine Festival is a celebration of community. It serves as a platform for fostering connections, celebrating diversity, and showcasing the vibrant tapestry of Mississippi’s culinary landscape. To continue fostering that within the region, the event dedicates a portion of its proceeds to support the Mississippi Restaurant Association Education Foundation, which provides scholarships for students seeking a post-secondary degree in restaurant management or the culinary arts.
