Lewisburg, West Virginia has stolen our hearts. This small town with lots of character boasts more art, food, and entertainment than most larger cities. With several Bed & Breakfasts and the famous The Greenbrier resort, you could stay here for a month and not even scratch the surface of everything this area has to offer. Whether you are wanting to go on a romantic getaway with your love or you want to travel somewhere the whole family can enjoy, Greenbrier Valley is the perfect destination.

Stay

  • The historic General Lewis Inn (This is the perfect combination of luxurious and cozy.)

  • The Greenbrier (Walk where Grace Kelly has walked and sip scotch under the chandelier that made an appearance in “Gone with the Wind.”)

Explore

  • Carnegie Hall (See live performances and get history tours in the same place.)

  • Greenbrier Valley Theatre (You have to see a show here—their art department works real magic on their props and costumes.)

  • Downtown Lewisburg (Visit loads of fun shops where you can purchase souvenirs that you will actually use.)

  • The Greenbrier River Trail (This gorgeous trail runs right along a river and it’s free, free, free.)

  • The Salt Cave and Spa (Try the halotherapy if you need a mid-trip relaxation session.)

  • The Greenbrier mineral spa (We suggest spending the entire day here.)

  • Lost World Caverns (Take a step back in time and see formations that are millions of years in the making.)

Eat & Drink

  • Stardust Cafe (Do not leave here without having a bite--or two--of their lemon cottage cheese cheesecake with raspberry sauce.)

  • Retro Donuts (Enjoy great donuts and an even greater playlist with gold such as the Beatles and Cyndi Lauper on loop.)

  • Del Sol Cantina (You can get a little bit of everything here.)

  • Smooth Ambler (Val is amazing! Great people and great drinks—how could you want more?)

  • Hawk Knob Hard Cider and Mead (Definitely worth the drive.)

  • The General Lewis (Make sure to indulge in the free popcorn.)

  • The Livery Tavern (Live music and great food--need I say more?)

  • Draper’s at The Greenbrier (This retro diner has the best milkshakes.)

  • The Forum at The Greenbrier (This authentic Italian restaurant will make your taste buds do a happy dance.)

  • The French Goat (Enjoy the brunch menu of your dreams.)
