The ninth annual 30A Wine Festival returns to the beautiful community of Alys Beach Wednesday, February 19, through Sunday, February 23, 2020. Showcasing renowned vintners and beloved culinary personalities, the five-day celebration will benefit the Children’s Volunteer Health Network. The festival kicks off with an intimate wine dinner featuring a four-course meal prepared by Alys Beach Executive Chef Drew Dzejak. On Thursday night renowned publication, Garden & Gun, comes to life as they host “Oysters & Champagne” in Central Park; Friday night features “Bourbon, Beer & Butts”, a down-to-earth and lively barbecue, bourbon, and beer tasting featuring some of the country’s best pitmasters, distillers and craft brewers accompanied by live music that’ll have you tapping your toes. Saturday offers an opportunity for wine-lovers to wine and dine themselves as they indulge in wine tasting seminars followed by the evening’s grand tasting along the town’s picturesque streetscape. “Rosé & Croquet” on Sunday features rosé tastings, a delicious brunch, and the beloved croquet tournament where croquet whites are not only encouraged but have become an iconic part of the final day of celebration.

Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach is a one-of-a-kind projection art festival where artists use the latest digital technologies to project their original works onto the iconic white walls of Alys Beach. Featured in National Geographic’s “24 Unconventional Art Destinations Around the World,“ this immersive art experience is sometimes referrered t o as “Photon Bombing,” “Guerilla Projection,” or “Urban Projection.” Underground artists around the globe have been using the latest design, animation, and projection technologies for many years to cast dynamic images onto skyscrapers and other urban structures as a means of artistic expression. Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach is a festival geared towards bringing these artists together in one place to celebrate and showcase their unique talents in a stunning coastal community recently dubbed the thirdmost beautiful small town by Architectural Digest. Each year, the festival attracts digital artists, interactive designers, photographers, and fans of art, design, technology, and architecture. Thousands of dollars in cash prizes are awarded to artists, with digital submissions being received from as far away as Israel, Austria, Canada, Germany, London, India, France, Italy and China.Opening night, Friday May, 15, is our family-friendly night featuring our 2020 projection art installations. Local food trucks and vendors are located throughout the festival footprint, while the street party winds through Alys Beach from Highway 30A all the way to Caliza restaurant. There, attendees will be greeted with à la carte food and drink options and fun for the whole family. This event is open to all ages.Saturday evening, May 16, is an all-inclusive food and drink experience, with stops along the festival’s path featuring samples by local and regional chefs, winemakers, distillers, and breweries. The evening culminates with desserts, spirits, and casual discussions of art around the pool at Caliza restaurant, which will showcase additional artwork. This event is 21+. Tickets will go on sale March 2020.

After an incredibly successful inaugural event, Alys Beach is excited to announce that Firkin Fête 2020 will consist of a two day festival in early October. Friday night local brewers will tap the firkins to kick off the weekend. With live music and great food, the party will highlight the region’s craft brewing scene.On Saturday, Alys Beach will host a mixology and craft cocktail event as part of the weekend festivities.Participating breweries showcase their special brews in a distinctive cask, called a firkin, which is made of stainless steel and holds 10.8 gallons of beer. Unique in the sense that the beer goes through a secondary fermentation in the firkin, the end result is a surprise to all. Not the brewer nor the taster knows what lies within until the firkin is tapped—an air of excitement and buzz wafts through the crowd as people line up to be among the first to sample what could be the next great ale. An eclectic and unique tasting experience in an elegantly rustic setting, Firkin Fête will surely become a great tradition for ushering in cooler, crisper weather along the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches.
